David Storper has over 20 years in the distressed investment field. He worked for over 16 years with Wilbur Ross, joining him at Rothschild Inc. in 1996 to create the firm’s distressed investment program and as a founding member of WL Ross & Co. LLC in 2000. Upon Mr. Storper’s retirement from WL Ross in April 2012, the firm’s AUM was nearly $10 billion and had investments throughout the world through multiple asset classes. Mr. Storper was an original member of WL Ross’ Investment Committee and Office of the Chairman and was involved in all aspects of sourcing, trading and the financial restructuring of investments in a diversified group of industries including financial institutions, steel, textiles, automotive, natural resources, transportation leasing and shipping.

His prior experience included stints in the Distressed Securities Group at CS First Boston and Libra Investments. He began his career at Wells Fargo Bank in the credit training program, followed by assignments in the corporate banking and restructuring groups.

Mr. Storper holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Colombia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and an M.B.A in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School.
